A highly regarded, Top 100 UK law firm is seeking an experienced Senior or Managing Associate to join its Contentious Trusts & Estates team. The team is well known for its work on complex, high-value private wealth disputes and has a strong reputation for technical expertise and the quality of its client base. The role will involve advising on a wide range of contentious matters, including will and probate disputes, Inheritance Act claims, executor and trustee disputes, trust and estate administration issues, and related professional negligence claims. Clients include high-net-worth individuals, business owners, executors, trustees, charities, and a significant number of farmers and landowners, offering a varied and interesting caseload. You will have exposure to high-quality work and take on a meaningful level of responsibility within a supportive and collaborative team. Responsibilities
- Advise on contentious trusts and estates matters, including wills, probate, and estate disputes
- Manage a varied caseload of complex private wealth disputes
- Act for high-net-worth individuals, executors, trustees, and charities
- Take responsibility for matters while working with senior colleagues as needed
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Work collaboratively within the team
Skills & Experience Sought
- Senior or Managing Associate with experience in contentious trusts and estates
- Strong technical knowledge of private wealth disputes, including wills, probate, trusts and estate administration
- Experience acting for high-net-worth individuals and other private clients
- Confident in dealing directly with clients and building long-term relationships
- Well organised, resilient and comfortable managing deadlines
- Collaborative approach and ability to work well as part of a team
