Aspiria Legal are proud to be working with a forward-looking, growing and ambitious law firm in the search for a Senior Residential Conveyancer to join their Residential Property team based in Plymouth. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or CILEX Lawyer to take the next step in their career within a firm that genuinely values collaboration, quality and career progression. As well as managing your own high-quality residential conveyancing caseload, you'll play a key role in supporting the Head of Residential Property by mentoring junior colleagues, contributing to the development of the team and helping shape the department's continued success. Responsibilities:
- Managing a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion and post-completion.
- Advising clients on freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, new build properties and shared ownership transactions.
- Reviewing titles, searches, enquiries and contract documentation, ensuring transactions progress efficiently.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts and associated legal documents.
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, developers and other solicitors to deliver a seamless service.
- Ensuring compliance with SRA regulations, AML requirements and lender panel obligations.
- Supporting the Head of Residential Property with the supervision, mentoring and development of junior team members.
- Contributing to departmental growth through business development, networking and cross-referral opportunities.
- Assisting with the strategic development of the department, including recruitment, team development and operational support.
About you:
- Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or CILEX Lawyer with Advanced Practice Rights.
- A minimum of 5 years' PQE (or equivalent experience) in residential conveyancing.
- Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of residential property transactions.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- Experience mentoring or supervising colleagues, with a collaborative and supportive approach to leadership.
- Commercially aware with an interest in contributing to the continued growth of a successful department.
- Well organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
