We have an exciting opportunity for a Residential Conveyancer (Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive) to join a well-established and highly respected law firm based in Tavistock, Devon. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced conveyancer looking to step away from high-volume, target-driven conveyancing and join a firm that prioritises quality, client relationships and exceptional service. You'll manage your own varied caseload with the support of an experienced team and dedicated legal secretarial assistance, allowing you to focus on delivering the highest standard of legal advice.
Responsibilities:
- Managing a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion.
- Advising on freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
- Handling matters involving registered and unregistered land, remortgages, transfers of equity, easements, plot sales and deeds of gift.
- Delivering an outstanding level of client care and building long-term relationships with clients and referrers.
- Managing billing, file progression and ensuring compliance with SRA and CQS requirements.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm and contributing to the continued growth of the Residential Property department.
About you:
Essential -
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive.
- Experience managing your own residential conveyancing caseload with minimal supervision.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
Desirable -
- 3–5 years' PQE.
- CQS accreditation.
- Experience using case management systems.
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues.
- Full, clean driving licence.
