We are seeking a Private Client Solicitor with 0–2 years’ PQE to join a well-regarded Trusts and Estates team in Exeter. The successful candidate will have experience in non-contentious private client work and will advise high-net-worth individuals, families, trustees and business owners.
You will work closely with experienced lawyers on a varied portfolio of matters, including wills and succession planning, trusts, estate administration, tax planning and wider wealth preservation strategies. The role offers early client contact, meaningful responsibility and the opportunity to develop strong, trusted relationships.
We are looking for a confident and personable solicitor with strong technical, analytical and communication skills. You will take a pragmatic, commercially minded approach, manage deadlines effectively and provide clear advice aligned with clients’ objectives, while benefiting from excellent mentoring and a supportive, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
- Advising high-net-worth individuals, families, trustees and business owners on private wealth matters.
- Drafting and advising on wills, succession planning and wealth preservation strategies.
- Advising on trust structures and related planning matters.
- Supporting the administration of estates.
- Assisting clients with long-term tax and wealth planning objectives.
- Managing client relationships and providing clear, practical and commercially focused advice.
- Taking ownership of matters with appropriate supervision.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Trusts and Estates practice.
- Managing workloads effectively and meeting client expectations and deadlines.
- Contributing to the delivery of high-quality client service and the continued development of the practice.
Experience and Skills Sought
- Solicitor with 0–2 years’ PQE in non-contentious private client, Trusts and Estates or Private Wealth work.
- Experience advising on wills, trusts, estate administration, succession planning or tax planning.
- Strong technical, analytical and communication skills.
- Confident, personable and committed to building trusted client relationships.
- Pragmatic, commercially minded and well organised.
