We are looking for an experienced Senior Associate to join a highly regarded, Legal 500 Tier One-ranked Personal Injury team in Bath. This is an excellent opportunity for a Personal Injury Solicitor or Legal Executive with 6+ years’ PQE and specialist experience in fatal road traffic accident claims to join a supportive and growing team. You’ll work closely with experienced Partners and play an important role in the continued development of the practice, with opportunities to build your profile, develop client relationships and contribute to the wider growth strategy. The team advises on a broad range of complex Personal Injury matters, including fatal claims, injuries caused by animals, cycling claims and claims involving vulnerable people.
Responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload of complex Personal Injury matters, with a particular focus on fatal road traffic accident claims.
- Providing high-quality legal advice and exceptional client care throughout each matter.
- Building strong relationships with clients and professional referrers.
- Managing matters efficiently and profitably, with appropriate consideration of pricing, resourcing and risk.
- Developing your profile and reputation as an expert within the Personal Injury market.
- Contributing to the departmental business plan and identifying opportunities for new business.
- Developing relationships with clients, referrers and professional contacts to build a pipeline of new work.
- Supporting business development activity, including pitches and networking.
- Building internal relationships to encourage cross-referrals across the firm.
- Supervising, coaching and supporting more junior members of the team.
- Contributing to departmental projects and wider initiatives.
- Keeping up to date with developments across the legal and Personal Injury sectors and contributing to the future strategy of the department.
- Working towards departmental and personal KPIs and contributing to the wider success of the team.
About you:
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive.
- 6+ years’ PQE.
- Substantial experience within Personal Injury, specifically fatal RTA claims.
- Strong client management and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to develop new business through successful business development activity.
- Commercially minded with an understanding of the importance of profitability and performance.
- Experience supervising or managing more junior colleagues would be advantageous.
- Ambitious, collaborative and keen to contribute to the continued growth and success of the team.
