Personal Injury Case Handler (Fast Track) - Fully Remote - Taunton

Aspiria Legal has an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal professional to join a specialist personal injury team handling claimant matters. The successful candidate will manage a busy caseload of pre-litigated personal injury claims, supporting clients who have suffered injury or loss as a result of negligence. This role is suited to an individual with experience in claimant personal injury work who is confident progressing cases independently through the pre-litigation process while providing high standards of client care and communication. The position involves managing claims from instruction through to the point of litigation. Once proceedings are issued, matters will transfer to a conducting lawyer within the litigation team, although the successful candidate will continue to assist with preparatory and administrative tasks through to conclusion where required.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and assist with a caseload of approximately 100–120 personal injury claims.
• Progress matters through all pre-litigation stages using the firm’s case management system.
• Conduct liability and quantum investigations, including obtaining witness statements and supporting evidence.
• Liaise professionally with clients, insurers, experts, and third-party solicitors.
• Prepare files for issue and transfer to the conducting lawyer where appropriate.
• Assist with preparatory and administrative tasks for litigated matters.
• Ensure compliance with procedural rules, firm policies, and professional standards.
• Maintain accurate file management and time recording in line with performance targets.
• Provide regular updates and reports to supervising team members.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

About you:

• You must have at least 5 years' experience in PI and litigation, including EL, PL, and RTA cases.
• Proven experience independently handling claimant personal injury matters.
• Strong working knowledge of the MOJ Portal and pre-litigation processes.
• Good understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and litigation procedures.
• Excellent communication and client-care skills, with a professional and empathetic approach.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise a busy caseload and meet strict deadlines.
• Sound negotiation and settlement skills.
• Confident using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a wider team.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to achieving positive client outcomes.
