Aspiria Legal are looking for a talented and commercially minded construction lawyer to join a growing team in one of the Southwest's most progressive and forward-thinking firms. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced practitioners on nationally significant and market-shaping projects, advising a broad range of clients. The role also involves supporting large-scale development and infrastructure projects across multiple sectors, anticipating risks and providing pragmatic, commercial solutions to keep projects on track. You will work closely and collaboratively with colleagues across Real Estate, Finance and Corporate to deliver joined-up advice that adds real value. If you are keen to pursue an interest or niche within one of the key sectors in the firm such as renewable energy, development, Islamic finance etc, you will be given the support you need for this. The successful candidate can be based in either the Bristol, Manchester or Southampton offices.
Responsibilities:
- Advise a range of clients on complex, often first-of-their-kind projects.
- Draft, negotiate and tailor standard form contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC) to each project’s needs.
- Support large-scale development and infrastructure schemes across sectors.
- Identify risks and provide pragmatic, solution-focused advice.
- Collaborate with teams across Real Estate, Finance and Corporate for integrated guidance.
Skills & Experience sought:
- Qualified solicitor with 3+ years PQE in non-contentious construction or a mix of contentious and non-contentious.
- Confident in leading complex transactions and projects.
- Commercially minded and proactive problem-solver.
- Strong communicator who thrives in teams and with clients.
- Motivated to grow your network and contribute to the practice.
- Enthusiastic about innovation and delivering great results.
