We are seeking a Litigation Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with approximately 0–5 years’ PQE to join a friendly and committed Dispute Resolution team in Exeter. The successful candidate will work with partners and senior lawyers with a broad range of commercial and civil litigation matters, with a particular focus on disputed wills and trusts.
You will have day-to-day conduct of files, develop your own caseload and build a specialism in an area of law that interests you. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, proactive litigator who is keen to develop their skills and reputation while delivering high-quality client care. You will work with businesses, charities, institutions and high net worth individuals across a varied range of matters.

Responsibilities
- Work with partners and senior lawyers with commercial and civil litigation matters.
- Focus primarily on disputed wills and trusts, with exposure to other areas of commercial litigation.
- Take day-to-day conduct of files and manage matters proactively.
- Develop and maintain a caseload with appropriate support and supervision.
- Provide clear, practical and commercially focused advice to clients.
- Act for businesses, charities, institutions and high net worth individuals.
- Build expertise and develop a specialism in a chosen area of law.
- Deliver consistently high standards of client care and legal work.
- Contribute to team training, development and knowledge sharing.
- Support charitable and profile-raising activities in the local community and more widely.
Experience and Skills Sought
- Newly qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with approximately 0–5 years’ PQE.
- Experience in contentious trusts and probate is desirable but not essential.
- Practical, proactive and solutions-focused approach to dispute resolution.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to excellent client care.
- Collaborative team player with enthusiasm for developing a legal specialism.
Hours and Benefits
