Legal Support Assistant - Court of Protection - Bristol

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Legal Support Assistant to join a highly regarded Trusts & Estates team, within a Top 100 UK law firm, supporting both the Court of Protection and Private Client departments from the firm's Bristol office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience working as a Legal Support Assistant or as an organised administrator looking to build a career within the legal sector. You'll become part of a collaborative and supportive team, providing vital support to fee earners while working on rewarding matters that make a genuine difference to the lives of vulnerable clients and their families. The role is full-time and offers hybrid working, with the flexibility to work from home alongside regular attendance at the Bristol office.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Providing professional PA and secretarial support to fee earners within the Court of Protection team.
  • Managing diaries, arranging meetings and coordinating travel where required.
  • Preparing correspondence, legal documents and reports through digital dictation and document production.
  • Assisting with expense processing and general administrative support.
  • Supporting the wider Trusts & Estates team on matters including Wills, Probate, estate administration, Lasting Powers of Attorney, trusts and estate planning.
  • Liaising with clients, colleagues and third parties in a professional and confidential manner.
  • Working collaboratively with other Legal Support Assistants and support teams to ensure an efficient and high-quality service.

 

About you:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Support Assistant, Legal Secretary or in a strong administrative role.
  • Experience within a legal environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A professional, proactive and positive approach to your work.
  • Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys supporting colleagues and delivering excellent client service.
  • Able to commute to Bristol city centre as part of a hybrid working arrangement.
