The Role:
We are looking for an In-House Solicitor - Head of Legal Land Team, ideally with circa 5 PQE of above, to join a busy in-house Legal Team within a leading national company. Reporting to the Group Solicitor, this role sits within the land and affordable housing space and supports a range of divisional offices across the business.
The ideal candidate will be a commercially minded property lawyer or fully qualified legal executive with strong technical knowledge and excellent stakeholder skills. The role is predominantly property-focused, with particular emphasis on affordable housing and investor sales, alongside broader land matters, disposal work, and some planning and infrastructure support. You will also help build strong relationships with regional teams and travel between offices from time to time.

Responsibilities:
- Provide in-house legal support across land, affordable housing and investor sales matters.
- Advise on general land issues, disposals, planning and infrastructure work.
- Handle affordable housing sales and related transactional documentation.
- Review and report on title, undertaking property due diligence as required.
- Assist with section 106 agreements and infrastructure agreements.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with regional and divisional offices.
- Travel between offices from time to time to support the wider business.
Experience and Skills Sought:
- Experienced solicitor or fully qualified legal executive with property/land experience.
- Experience in affordable housing sales, section 106 agreements, infrastructure agreements, due diligence and title reporting.
- Previous housebuilder experience, whether in-house or in private practice, would be an advantage.
- Confident, organised and commercially aware, with strong communication and telephone skills.
