Aspiria Legal are pleased to be supporting one of Devon's top regional law firms, which is looking to hire an Employment Solicitor NQ-4 PQE to work within their Litigation and Employment team in Exeter. This Employment team provides clear, practical advice to senior professionals on all aspects of the employment relationship. Acting primarily for employers, but also for directors and senior executives and employees, the team advises on the full range of employment matters. These matters include discrimination, unfair dismissal, workplace disputes and settlement agreements. Recognised for its technical expertise and pragmatic approach, the team provides both day-to-day advice and representation in complex employment disputes, including tribunal claims, where it handles matters from initial instruction through to advocacy at final hearings.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a supportive and collaborative team. They work with employers of all sizes across Devon and the Southwest and beyond, from small businesses to charities and larger organisations. Your work will include advising on a broad range of day-to-day employment law matters. This will involve drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies and settlement agreements, as well as supporting clients through disciplinary, grievance, capability and other processes. You will also assist with managing Employment Tribunal claims and provide employment law support on corporate transactions. Alongside your technical work, you will play an active role in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and in the team’s business development.
Skills and experience required:
- Experience within employment law, or at least a real intent to forge a career within employment law
- SRA or CILEX qualification
- A "can do" approach and a positive attitude
- Confident and outgoing manner and strong communication skills
