We are looking to recruit an experienced and driven Corporate Solicitor/Lawyer to join a highly regarded and successful Corporate team at a leading Top 100 UK law firm. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and commercially focused team in either the Bristol or Exeter office, working on a broad range of high-quality corporate transactions. The role has opened up due to the continued growth and development of the team. You will work with a diverse client base ranging from entrepreneurial start-ups to large national and international businesses, advising on matters including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, venture capital transactions, joint ventures, restructurings and cross-border work. The successful candidate will be given a high level of responsibility from the outset, managing transactions, developing client relationships and supporting junior team members, whilst working alongside highly experienced corporate lawyers on complex and high-value matters.
Skills and experience sought:
- Solicitor / Lawyer with strong corporate law experience gained within a reputable commercial practice
- A minimum of 5 years’ PQE preferred
- Experience handling a broad range of corporate transactions including M&A, private equity and venture capital matters
- Strong technical ability and sound commercial judgement
- Previous experience managing client relationships and running transactions with autonomy
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
- A proactive and commercially minded approach, with enthusiasm for corporate law and market developments
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers would be advantageous
- Strong interest in business development and contributing to the continued growth of the team
