We are proud to be working with a leading UK law firm to recruit an ambitious Newly Qualified Solicitor to join their highly regarded Contentious Trusts & Probate team. This is an exceptional opportunity to develop your career within a specialist and intellectually stimulating area of Private Client law, working alongside recognised experts on complex and high-value disputes. In this role, you'll advise a broad range of private clients, including high-net-worth individuals, on a variety of contentious trusts and probate matters. You will gain exposure to disputes involving will validity challenges, removal of executors, proprietary estoppel claims, Inheritance Act claims, trust disputes, and matters involving complex family dynamics and offshore structures. You will manage your own caseload while working closely with senior lawyers on particularly sensitive and high-value cases. The team is widely recognised for its expertise in this specialist area and is known for handling some of the most complex estate and trust disputes in the country. You'll join a collaborative and supportive environment where you'll receive excellent mentoring and development opportunities from highly experienced practitioners.
About You:
- You will be a Newly Qualified Solicitor, or due to qualify shortly, with a genuine interest in Private Client law and Contentious Trusts & Probate work.
- Ideally, you will have completed a seat in Private Client or Contentious Trusts & Probate during your training contract, although candidates with a strong demonstrable interest in the area are also encouraged to apply.
- You will possess strong analytical and drafting skills, alongside the ability to manage sensitive and emotionally charged matters with empathy and professionalism.
- A proactive approach, excellent organisational skills, and a desire to build a long-term career within this specialist field are essential.
