An exciting opportunity has arisen within a thriving business in Exeter, for a Solicitor to join their in-house Land and Housing Association team. The ideal candidate will be someone with experience of working within property law, ideally with some element of Commercial Property background, but with an interest in. In an ideal world, a minimum of 2 years' experience would be sought, although there will be training offered to people who have similar experience and an interest in this type of work. This is an integral role within the department and is a role that brings lots of responsibility and variation.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing relationships between the regional offices and you will be required to travel between our regional offices from time to time
- Reporting to, communicating with and attending meetings with the Group Solicitor
- The role will work within the Land/HA sector of the Legal Team working for various divisional offices across the Group
- Giving general and specific legal advice on numerous legal issues to Operating Companies across the group
- When necessary, drafting, negotiating and giving advice on Legal Contracts to include Section 106 Agreements, infrastructure agreements, undertaking property due diligence and reporting on title
- Predominantly property focussed work, specialising in affordable housing and investor sales
- Advising on general land matters, assisting with disposal matters and include some planning and infrastructure work
