One of the UK’s leading clinical negligence law firms is looking for an Associate to join their specialist Clinical Negligence team based in Southampton, with hybrid working available. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded team acting for claimants who have been adversely affected by negligent medical treatment, helping them achieve accountability, answers and fair compensation. The role involves managing your own caseload of clinical negligence matters with the support of an experienced and collaborative team. You will work on a broad range of cases, including misdiagnosis, delayed treatment, surgical errors, and birth and maternity injury claims. The work is both technically challenging and personally rewarding, requiring a sensitive and empathetic approach when guiding clients through complex and emotional situations. You will work closely with medical experts and colleagues to achieve the best possible outcomes, while contributing to a positive and supportive team culture.
Experience and skills required:
- NQ-3 years’ PQE or equivalent experience in clinical negligence or personal injury
- Strong communicator, able to explain complex legal issues clearly and sensitively
- Empathetic, client-focused approach with a genuine desire to help people
- High ethical standards and a strong commitment to client care
